About the BCCO

The Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2018 by celebrity violinist Arun Rozario and is now managed and nestled with the Philomena Thumboochetty Music Academy. The BCCO is the first professional orchestra from Karnataka that introduced a world class platform for musicians in Karnataka and outside and completed two sold out seasons in 2018 & 2019. It is a crowning jewel for Bangalore and is supported by a group of accomplished, respected, and well-known personalities from Bangalore and India. We were blessed with successful seasons 2018 and 2019 in Bangalore and Goa, receiving superb reviews from critics and had packed auditoriums with audiences ranging from the novice listener to the music connoisseur.Our primary vision is for the BCCO to remain a world class orchestra with musicians of substance propelling it to greater heights for India. Season 2024 of the BCCO will yet again introduce the world of rich orchestral music to audiences in Bangalore, Hosur and Goa.The 2024 season’s first series of concerts will comprise of a 21-member string orchestra led by celebrated Belgium conductor and co-founder Maestro Joris Decolvenaer and is made up of musicians from Europe, India and our very own Bengaluru. The Orchestra will comprise of eleven Violinists, four Violists, three Cellists and two Double bassists.
