Arun Rozario, is a concert violinist from Bangalore. In his formative years, he was privileged to have studied with good teachers in India and visiting artists from the US and Germany. Apart from being a sought after classical violinist, he is a passionate educator and is the co-founder of the VioVoi Music Academy, a premier teaching academy in Bangalore. Arun is also the founder & director of the Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra, a professional orchestra that was founded by him in 2018.

 

Arun has trained extensively under world-famous performers and teachers from many countries. An accomplished soloist himself, he has toured with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, performed with the South Asian Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of India among others. Many of his students are professional violinists having graduated from prestigious music universities. Arun holds a Licentiate in Violin performance from the ABRSM and was also an engineer by profession. He is the winner of two full music scholarships in Canada and is the recipient of the Fewkes memorial rolling trophy for the best performer at the music diplomas.

Sanya Myla Cotta, was a violinist from Goa, expressed her passion for the violin at the tender age of 3 and gained admission to the Conservatory in Hamburg (Germany), where her talent was nurtured by Renate Bruce Weber.

On her return to Goa at the age of 12, she continued her studies under the guidance of Myra Shroff.

After sweeping away the First Prize at the David Menezes National Violin Competition in 2005 she continued her studies with Prof Ulf Klausenitzer at the University of Nürnberg, where she has completed two degrees in Performance and Pedagogy and a postgraduate degree.

In 2016 she completed her Masters in music under Prof. Naaman Sluchin at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels, Belgium.

In 2009 she gained entry to the prestigious 'Junge Deutsche Philharmonie' (German Youth Orchestra) and in 2012 to the World Youth Orchestra. She freelanced with several orchestras in Europe and was part of the music faculty at the International German School, Brussels. She was instrumental in the creation of the BCCO and was one of its co-founders.

Sanya tragically passed away in April of 2019

 

Joris Decolvenaer - Conductor & co-founder

Joris Decolvenaer is the principal conductor of the Kempens Symfonisch Orkest and Arenberg Alumni Orkest.
He is also the conductor and co-founder of the Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra (BCCO), the first professional chamber orchestra of India.
Decolvenaer is a laureate of several music competitions, like the Supernova -The Future Sound of Classical Music and Leos Janacek International Competition. He also got awarded the Vocatio scholarship of Belgium. In the summer of 2020, Joris Decolvenaer was awarded first prize in the 16th Danube International Masterclass and Conducting Competition in Budapest, Hungary.He made guest appearances with orchestras, like the Kiev Symphonic Orchestra (Ukraine), Plovdiv State Opera (Bulgaria), Musique de l’Infanterie de Lille (France), Alto Minho Youth Orchestra (Portugal), Orchestre Symphonique 'Eduard Lalo' (France), the Orchestre Symphonique de Namur (Belgium), Chorale Royale Protestante de Bruxelles (Belgium), St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra (Lithuania), Flanders
Symphony Orchestra (Belgium) etz.

 

Joris Decolvenaer received his orchestral conducting training at the conservatory of Lille (France) in the class of Jean-Sebastien Berreau and Alexandre Bloch. For his master degree, he studied at the
Conservatoire Royale de Bruxelles in the class of Prof. Robin Engelen.
During his studies, he benefited greatly from masterclasses and encounters with Prof Johannes Schlaefli, Prof. Uroš Lajovic, Jaap Van Zweden, Peter Stark, Giancarlo Guerrero, Kriistina Poska, Vincent de Kort, Huba Hollókői and Jorma Panula.

 

Joris holds a Master degree in Violin Performance from the Conservatoire Royale de Bruxelles, Educational master in Music from the Royal conservatory of Brussels, and a Master degree in chamber music from the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover. Since January 2022, Joris Decolvenaer has been teaching violin at the Emanuel Feuermann Conservatory of the Kronberg Academy (Germany), this in parallel to his teaching position in Academie voorPodiumkunsten Overijse (Belgium).
